A powerful service that monitors and manages a clients IT assets (network, systems and applications) to help reduce an organisations support and operational deployment costs. The service uses a state-of-the-art Management software platform that interfaces directly to each device under its control and running the client software component. This client software watches key processes, performance and flags any potential issues to the Management platform. Monitored 24 hours a day, the Keytech
service desk will be alerted of any potential incidents, allowing remedial action to be initiated and scheduled to prevent downtime before it can affect services.
The Keytech Sentinel Management and Monitoring service for servers, network devices and applications uses a leading-edge management software platform that automates key processes, securely monitors the operating environment and provides around-the-clock management minimising the need to deploy expensive IT professionals. The service can provide the following:
- Faults - Continuous monitoring of the client assets, network, system and application environment, providing alerts that enable rapid identification of problems based on customer-defined threshold limits. All critical alerts can result in immediate customer notification through via email. In most cases, Keytech will process the alert and have the ability to remotely resolve the problem without the client being aware there was ever an issue.
- Asset and Compliance Management - Infrastructure asset reporting tracks IT assets by IP address, node name and software image for capacity planning, maintenance and regulatory purposes.
- Performance - Monitors servers, network devices and applications, providing hourly, daily and weekly reports on key IT metrics, such as CPU, memory and disk. This enables rapid identification of potential problems (i.e. over-subscription) before they can impact the IT service.
- Security - Focuses on internal security for predominantly Windows environments including four critical components that could affect business operations:
- Intrusion monitoring - “who did what to whom” data summaries provide a basis for audit trails
- Real time vulnerability scanning - for more than 2000 different vulnerabilities + nine reports ideal for compliance, including “open ports” and “discovered Windows users and services”, among others
- Patch assessment and management - five reports that identify where patches are needed by device, server or desktop, by bulletin or by Microsoft product, i.e. Internet Explorer. Automated patch deployment can be selected for desktops and laptops.
- Firewall monitoring - real time monitoring of firewall availability and critical events
