This year Keytech are attending VMworld Europe in Barcelona. VMworld is VMware’s virtualisation and cloud computing technology event that runs each year in the US and Europe.
When attending these events, it is very easy to stick within your comfort zone and learn more about the technologies that we deal with on a day to day basis, however we always try to make the most of this time by expanding our knowledge of emerging technologies or solutions to ensure we offer our customers the best possible solutions
There is no better way of doing this than the VMware HOLs or Hands On Labs. The first morning at VMworld is always a bit hectic so the HOLs are definitely a great way of getting ourselves up to speed, we are using this time to immerse ourselves in VMware’s software defined networking solution NSX and infrastructure automation using PowerCLI
The HOLs are self-paced , guided training courses available via your web browser that are usually split up into several bite sized modules. The amount of courses available is truly amazing and covers subjects from standard solutions such as vSphere and vSAN through to Cloud Native Apps and Kubernetes.
We highly recommend the HOLs as a training and education aid for those interested in cloud technologies. If you are lucky enough like us to be attending VMworld, there is a huge HOL area where you can get access to the labs either on VMware kit or via your own device.
Alternatively, the HOLs are available via https://labs.hol.vmware.com
